MCR Beezpower are preparing for their first season in the Ultimate Badminton League (UBL), operated by MCR Sport Performance, to compete in both the Men's Premiership and Women's Premiership.
Following the announcement of MCR Beezpower's entry into the league, preparations are now well underway as the squads look ahead to what promises to be an exciting and highly competitive Season 5.
Representing Manchester at this level is an important opportunity for the hub and its players. MCR Beezpower will be looking to showcase the quality and ambition within the Manchester badminton community while competing alongside some of the UK's badminton leading teams and players.
As part of MCR Sport Performance, MCR Beezpower's involvement in the UBL sits alongside the club's wider focus on player development, high-quality coaching and creating opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level. The UBL provides an additional platform for players to test themselves in a team environment and gain valuable experience against strong opposition.
With both Men's and Women's Premiership teams entering the competition, there is a strong focus on building squads that can compete while also providing an environment where players can continue to develop and progress.
The club has already begun putting its squads together, with a number of player announcements expected ahead of the new season. Further details will be shared as the teams take shape and preparations continue.
For MCR Beezpower, the focus is now firmly on getting ready for the first UBL campaign and ensuring the players and a wider team are prepared for the challenge ahead.
We are looking forward to representing Manchester, competing in the Ultimate Badminton League and giving our players the opportunity to experience team badminton at one of the highest levels in the UK.
UBL Season 5 is approaching, and MCR Beezpower is ready for the challenge.
