A World-Class Leap: MCR Sport Performance Enters UBL Premiership & Welcomes TKRacket Academy As Strategic Partner
MCR Sport Performance, led by founder Patrick Teh, is proud to announce a landmark development in the growth of racket sports in Manchester. Building on his extensive experience managing Manchester Badminton, Patrick has established MCR Sport Performance as a hub for athletic excellence. Today, that vision reaches a new height with the announcement of a powerful partnership and our entry into top-flight competition.
We are honoured to welcome TKRacket Academy, led by Tan Kian Meng, as a valued external academy partner. This collaboration opens exciting opportunities to explore how his academy can work across different programmes and extend its reach across the region. Kian Meng brings a remarkable career, former World Top No.5 Mixed Doubles player, Commonwealth Games medallist, and currently the England National Lead Doubles Coach—bringing elite expertise to Manchester through his London Academy.
MCR Sport Performance is thrilled to announce its official entry into the Ultimate Badminton League (UBL) for the upcoming season. Competing under the name MCR Beezpower, the organisation will field two elite squads—both a Men’s and a Women’s team—to compete in the prestigious Premiership.
To ensure the athletes perform at their absolute peak and the community continues to thrive, MCR Sport Performance is proud to announce a powerhouse network of partners. These partnerships provide critical team sponsorship and essential support for our local tournaments:
